Homecoming!

Before Kevin's deployment to Kyrgyzstan, Kevin wanted to bring Jamie and Bella home to Susanville to show Jamie where he grew up. They had some car problems on the way - within the first fours of the trip! Had to get a hotel and spend a day getting the problem fixed. They went via Albuquerque, NM and Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Bella has started crawling since Grandma Barbie's visit last month.And pulling herself up too.One on one time with Grandma Barbie!Bella enjoyed sitting in this box and playing with the paper! And she spent some time tormenting Harley the cat too.The newlyweds playing around and wrestling. It is always good to see Kevin and Jamie laugh!And Grandpa Danny came up with Bella's nickname.....

Trip To Texas To See Bella!

For Valentines's Day, my wonderful husband bought me a plane ticket to Abilene, TX to see Kevin, Jamie and Bella! I hadn't seen Bella since she was a month old and now Bella is now 8 months old! My, they grow fast!Kevin is a really good father!Jamie is a great mother too! She plays with Bella all day except for nap time!

Bella is trying to crawl now. She gets up on her knees and trys to reach for things. Probably will be crawling next month when they come to CA for a visit!

Kevin and Jamie's Place

Kevin and Jamie live on the base at Dyess A.F.B. All the duplexes are 2 units and brand new!It is a two story, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath with hardwood floors on the first floor.Senior Airman (SRA) K Ward!Jamie bought a Kevin a used Quad for a Valentine's Day present. So we went to to a park to go try it out! It was bit muddy from the rain/snow the day before but the weather was 60 degrees and great! It was the best day because the next day, it was back into the 40's! She got a good deal for $200! Kevin has to do some work on it though!

Proud Air Force Mom!

A few months ago, I joined the Blue Star Moms group in Susanville. They are an organization of mothers who have sons or daughters (active or non-active) in the service. They support the troops by sending care packages twice a year, support the veterans at the VA hospital by doing little projects and support the mothers who sons are deployed to Afghanstan or Iraq. One project the Blue Star Moms are doing is hanging banners on Main Street in support of the local kids in active service

Yesterday, we hung up Kevin's banner!

LMUD (Lasssen Municipal Utility District - our local electric company) is doing this in conjunction with the Blue Star Moms by donating their time to help hang the banners.Here is a pic of Danny and I!They hung his photo in front of USA Gas on Main Street.Then each mom got to tie a symbolic yellow ribbon on the pole too!
