Princess Karlie and the Disney Princesses

I love entering contests and when I heard that the local news channel was giving away sets of 4 tickets for Disney's Princesses on Ice Tour in Reno, NV to caller #22, I knew I just had to try! I was so suprised when I heard I had won! Then next evening, we called Buffy to see if Buffy and Karlie wanted to fly down for the show. We were able to work all the details out and the countdown was on! I am not sure who was more excited...Buffy, Karlie or Me! They flew in Thurday morning and us girls did some shopping. We all bought new purses, including Karlie! Then we went to Buffy's hotel to rest and to change Karlie into her "princess dress". All day long Karlie kept asking if the princesses could come to her house!
I think she is ready to go!Not sure why the frown - maybe she was just impatient to go!First we went to dinner ...we ate and Karlie took a nap! It was a good thing she took a nap. It was a long day and we knew the evening would be long too!We took pictures while we waited for the show to start. We couldn't believe all the little girls who were wearing princess costumes or just dressed up in long dresses! When the show started, Karlie eyes were sooo big and her mouth was open! I enjoyed watching the expressions on her face!Princess Jasmine from Aladdin's Lamp Here's a video to watch

Ariel from Little Mermaid - not a very good picture - but I wanted to include it anyway because Ariel is Karlie's favorite princess!Snow White and the Seven DwarfsBelle and Beast from Beauty and the BeastPrincess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty Here is another video to watch - in each story line, the princess had just fallen to sleep and now all the princesses were be woken at the same time.

At intermission time, Grandpa went to buy some souvniers....a princess crown that lights up....

...An Ariel doll......and if you look closely, a tiny necklace with Ariel on it!The second half of the show was the story of CinderellaThis picture isn't very good either - it doesn't do the carriage justice. The carrage was all lit up and just beautiful! Here the duke is asking all the princesses in the audience to try on the glass slipper too!And the Grand Finale....all the princesses dance with their princes! And they all lived happily ever after!!!

It was a wonderful day and one that will always be a special memory to us!

Halloween Weekend With Karlie!

We went to go to Oregon to spend Halloween with Buffy, Scott and Karlie! Since we were visiting one week before her 3rd birthday, Karlie opened her presents from us early! A cute height chart for her room!Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs DVD!And some new dress-up clothes - 5 Disney princess gowns!Ooooh! Glass slippers just like Cinderella's!The costume she liked the best was Ariel's from Little Mermaid. She kept saying she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween but Buffy couldn't find it.Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.Do you think it's Grandma Barbie's size and color? Then Karlie wanted Grandma dress up as Snow WhiteTime to go to the Ball! A big hug and kiss for Grandma Barbie!

Going to the Carnival!

We spent the day just being silly and having fun. Karlie enjoyed her pumpkin lollipop - it was really sticky and lasted a few days! Peak a Boo!
Sharing with Grandpa!Buffy and Grandma Barbie decided to dress up for Halloween too! So we went to Wal-Mart to see what we could find! Buffy bought a pink and black ponytail wig so she could go as a goth punk rocker girl and Grandma Barbie found a witch costume. And then we had to try them on too! OOOhhh! Such a scary witch!!!All dressed and ready to go to the carnival!Buffy heard that one of the elementary schools was having an indoor carnival so we decided to check it out even though Karlie wasn't in school yet. We got there right when it opened and in an hour, the gym was packed full of kids! Glad we went early so Karlie didn't have to wait in a lot of long lines!

Fishing for candy with Grandpa!Catching ducks for more candy!Which one should I choose?Look at that swing - maybe the next Michelle Wie? Lucky she didn't hit anyone! In one corner of the gym by the spider, was the cake walk.Karlie's first cake walk!

Karlie didn't win a cake.

Oh well, maybe next time!
